That really is mind-blowing, isn't it? And especially when you think of it in those terms... 1 in 1,000. And here the country's president has literally been telling people that it's nothing to worry about. Which really just makes it all the more mind-blowing.

On Xmas day, my sister in the US was having a get-together with the extended family () and her step-daughter was supposed to come with her boyfriend. She called that morning to say she couldn't make it because she wasn't feeling well and then called back later to say she had just tested positive for the virus.
