If you have amber position lights you might have to change them to white. (Amber position lights are only recently allowed on motorbikes. The CRF 1000 L Africa Twin was one of the first which used this relaxation).
Red rear indicators however are o.k.
In case of Diesel engines the US emission regulations are much stricter (same as for gasoline engines). Allegedly the US version of the F30 335i is limited to 210 km/h

while the EU version can go up to 250 km/h and has a different engine mapping.
