All of the above from what we can see. When presented with a new, unknown virus that seems to demonstrate a concerning combination of resilience, transmissibility and capability to exacerbate other underlying medical conditions people are understandably keen to avoid exposure to it. Physicians are equally loath to try and ďforceĒ people to get their regular check ups in such circumstances and so diagnoses for other diseases are delayed on both sides.

Cancer, autoimmune and neurological conditions havenít gone on holiday simply due to COVID. 2021 is going to be a bit of bastard for many, just for different reasons than they might have expected.
