Most will be happy to do so with patients they have seen before. For new patients, it‘s really up to them. I would suggest calling the practices near you and asking. „Near you“ because there are things that cannot (and should not) be resolved over the phone, and if you‘re running a fever or have a squeezed nerve giving you hell, the last thing you want is a long drive.

Edit: basic vs private insurance is not much of an issue in outpatient settings, except for meds that basic won‘t cover.
