Re: Advise: Telephone Doctor Appointments during Covid

I think it could be difficult to have a telephone consultation with a doctor if you are not already a patient of theirs.

Not all doctors are prepared to speak with their patients on the telephone even if it is to give the results of blood tests. Others are okay with this.

I think having a doctor who will take phonecalls from patients, or call you back if they are with another patient when you call, is important.

I can also call my health insurance provider asking for advice but I haven't found this very helpful. They will arrange for a doctor to call you back. After hours it is certainly better than nothing.
