They're considering allowing bow hunting in Germany in more densely populated areas, as they also have a increasingly serious issues with wild boar. Switzerland isn't quite so bad yet, but it's an inevitable problem here too as wild pigs can reproduce twice a year leading to annual population increases of 150-200% and warmer winters contribute to a higher growth rate.
