Most people who get the virus don't get sick from it.

Most people who get sick from it don't get seriously ill.

Most people who get seriously ill don't die from it.

Until the virus mutates into a strain that will get more people infected and will get more people sick and will get more people seriously ill and so on...

Yes, only a minority of people will actually die of Covid, even if we all will get it at some point. The question always has been what is an acceptable proportion of people dying of Covid and the actions we take until we have an efficient vaccine defense (if ever).

Evidently for some people waiting for a bit longer is a bit much when put in balance with some stranger's life (and even if eventually it's their own life at stake).
