So if you do all that- you won't need to isolate in the UK?

Are people ever allowed to isolate in a family home, with family?
You must still isolate for 10 days or fewer if you take the extra “test to release” option on day 5. So; test to go to the U.K., tests on day 2 and day 8 with an option of an extra on day 5. You then need a test to come back. So 4 tests and 10 days quarantine or 5 tests and 5/6 days quarantine plus the quarantine you may or may not be required to do on your return.
You can stay in the family home as long as you stay safely away from family members with whom you did not travel.

I will be isolating with any photos and memories I come across, Mums carer, who lives across the road will deliver food parcels as required.
