Re: Total living expenses and taxes in Geneva

Please, I would appreciate it if you could tell me how much I could save (very approximately of course) per month by living alone in Geneva in a regular apartment, living a normal life without too many luxuries and with a salary of 5,600 CHF net per month.

I mean cash in my pocket, after paying taxes, insurances, apartments, etc.

How long is a piece of string ?

What is normal ?
What would be "too many luxuries" ?
What is a regular appartement ?
How long you plan to be a monk ?
You speak French ?

It's impossible even to hazzard a real estimate, any estimate you get is so dependant on outside factors as to be next to useless.

With Chf 5.6k you won't starve, you can have a good time and quite likely within a few months you will learn where and how much you can save. This will come with expereience, once you know where cheaél deals are to be had, who does what best, but to maximise on this you need to knbow the local language.
