Thanks for taking the time to search and link the relevant threads into this one. It helps to make life easier for others who find this later.

Now onto your original question - I might be talking complete rubbish, but I think the chances of getting anything other than a holiday visa for your parents are very slim, unless your parents are very rich and want to retire here. To be honest if you've got a lot of money and want to retire there are better countries for this (in my opinion). My guess is bringing your parents in would be very hard, even if you've got yourself a Swiss passport, as a non-EU B I wouldn't like your chances.

But the best people to answer these questions would be your local authorities - have you spoken with them and asked them the same questions - what did they say?

I have a Swiss friend who recently married a Filipino girl. They were unable to bring the bride's parents out for the wedding due to the inability to get a holiday visa for them. It was quite sad, but that's the way these things go sometimes
