=Hackers' discount - stolen card details for A$0.08 cents=
THE theft of personal information by hackers is so prevalent - and efficient - that stolen credit card details now sell for as little as eight cents a card, a report by one of the world's biggest computer security companies says.

| The price of eight cents a stolen credit card has been made possible because hackers have been able to lower their margins through greater efficiency and speed in deploying their traps for consumers, a Symantec spokesman, David Dzienciol, said.
The low price is available to criminals buying common cards in bulk - up to 5000 at a time. | |
