Ok, thats really strange.
I have never come across that in my career, but I suppose once you get the contract you can read it all and be up front with your questions and ask them to add things in it what you want. If its a contract by the company then things like maternity leave have to be included. (not that its that much, you only get paid 3 months worth and be expected to go back after that)
