Re: Breakdown of tax & social security payments

Depends a lot on your personal circumstances; married, kids etc etc. You will also probably pay tax at source, so will pay a little more than if you pay swiss tax. Also, will you receive a 13th salary?
100k in Fribourg is a pretty tidy salary for a single and I would expect you to come out with around 6k a month. My salary is similar to yours and my social security, pension etc is around 900.-. Tax is more difficult to estimate, but http://appl.fr.ch/scc/baremes/bareme_a_2009.pdf shows you a breakdown of rates of tax at source.
At a monthly brutto of 8500, you'll pay 17.01% tax (1445.-).
So, 8500-1445-900 gives you 6155.-. More or less my 1st estimate.
