And the number plates appear to be up to date (and all the details match the reg document/car plate).

So let's assume the car is legal, what would the next step be? Would I apply for plates before purchase? Again, forgive me if these seem like simple questions but have never bought a Swiss car before. I assume as plates are for the person and not the car that you can hold a number plate but not actually own a car yet?
