D visa in switzerland, U.S. Permanent resident, where would I be deported to??

Hi!

In switzerland for an internship, I want to go to Italy by train for a weekend. I have a multiple entry D visa for switzerland + a transit through Schengen (I have applied for my permit B more than a month ago and it's not here yet). I'm also a U.S. permanent resident. I'm an Iranian citizen (ooooo ).

So I know the D visa is only valid for switzerland, and transit visa is only for airports. If they check my passport on the way to Milan basically I'll be illegal! So the question is, does anyone know if I will be returned to switzerland or back to U.S.??!?!

And will I be jailed or something?? I want to know how bad are the consequences of getting caught, is it worth not being alone on christmas or should I just forget about it.

Not sure if anyone knows the answer, but if you've heard of other people's experiences it would help.

Thanks!
Dorna
