I assume the theory and driving test have to be done in the local language without a translator.
Zürich allows that you take a test in English, other Kantons allow the presence of a translator - I did do some searching before resorting to starting a thread

Thank you for the link, definitely a good resource, but was hoping for some experiences / recommendations - as the quality is difficult to judge from the list.
