Re: Question for anyone who has lived in UK.

Hi Gurutalon, I hope you have a really good time in London. A friend and I do the London challenge and try to take a break in London for as cheap as possible! Its always great fun to do the maximum entertainment for the minimum cost. I even got a travelodge hotel for 45 pounds for 2 nights and took a suitcase full of food that could be made by being boiled in a kettle. Yes, I know this is an extreme case but the point is London does not have to be expensive with a bit of imagination and forethought.

A great site is http://www.londontourist.org/free.html the Opera house does free midday concerts that are just wonderful and the red buses will take you everywhere and there are websites that give you the bus numbers which will enable you to take in all the sights of London for a 2.50 bus ticket.

Another thought is booking things online before you go... it saves you a small fortune, especially the London Eye. Shop around on the net for prices, they do vary, I was quoted from 16.00 to 26.00 for a family ticket so dont go with the first price you see.

The British Library http://www.bl.uk/ has free exhibitions and many things of interest.

This is just from the top of my head but there are many many more things to do... Greenwich markets can be accessed via a boat trip and sell the most wonderful and unusual goods and its a nice trip there and back too!

Hope you have a good time...
