Mother tongue and foreign language aquisition depending on age of the learner can not be compared.
One may however be heavily auditive and learn a lot through auditive stimulation of different kind. It is technically not impossible that someone would even learn German declention that way, but if you are such a person, you would be the first I know of. But I don't know that much, so good luck learning the way you like.
