Buying a car in switzerland to export it to the EU

Hi there everybody. I am new to this forum and I would like to ask your help in something.

In 1.5 months time I will be visiting my mother in Versoix for a week with a group of friends. I have decided to buy a used VW golf 4 GTI from switzerland and then drive it back home to Estonia later.

Could anyone please explain the process to me? I have been researching this online for a few weeks and I can't find any clear answers anywhere.

I choose a car from a dealer and go buy it, what happens next? I have heard something about tourist plates to allow me to drive it home. Where can I get said plates and what would they cost per day? I understand that if I register the car in the EU I am going to have to pay VAT for it both in switzerland when buying it and in Estonia when I register it as an EU car. Would this be any different if the dealer has the car marked as "pour export"?

It would of course be great if I could already use the car while Im staying in Versoix, but I imagine the tourist plates cost a lot per day so that is probably not feasible. Has anyone here done this kind of car exporting to the EU? Would it simply be better for me to buy the same car across the border in france?

Sorry for so many questions at once. I just haven't found anyone else to help me on this front yet. Thank you in advance
