Re: Bring a bike by train from Italy, would I get taxed ?

SL - I'm pretty sure the Cisalpino trains (despite having a small bike section, with hooks and a bike sticker on the window) don't allow bikes on. I know this having been chucked off when trying to get on at Arth Goldau.....

Not sure about the likelihood of getting hit for tax although I would imagine that if you rode across the border at a well chosen place then you're unlikely to get stopped.
