I'd like so much to do the same. But I just can light a candle on my window at night.
Come on, Bertrand, you can light a candle any time any where. As long as it is not near curtains. Put out in the garden, on the terrace, on your coffee table. We are lighting a candle, from Geneva, for Begga.

That's what counts.

I actually light a candle every night, pray on it and it burns all the night.

I just wanted to say that i would have liked to light a candle in Basel. It's a bit symbolic for me. it has a signification to have a candle where she died.

and, as others ask too, there will have a loads of lights there...

LiB, there's no way I can make the times you're suggesting, so I'd be really grateful if you could light one for me also. Thanks.

I shall light a candle for her in Geneva around the same time. Not in a church, but just on my window sill.

You, friends of Begga are awesome. I am one of the ones who never met her, but I can feel her optimism and love of life through you. With your wee funny and sad stories, and she looks beautiful in the pictures.

May she live on in your hearts and heads, with her giggle and love of life.
Begga was planning on visiting Geneva with Teckla when I met up with you there recently. She said "I promise that Teckla and I will visit Geneva one day and hopefully meet you all "

Sadly, that cannot now happen, but I am sure it was still on her list of things to do.

Ok, im sorry.

But even, light whatever candle you can and wherever you can, just for a few minutes. And give a little prayer - that's what I'm going to do.

Or else, if you feel is good - go to basel.

Oh shit, how sad is that? We would have given her the best time. And shown her our "village". I even know bars where you can get up and sing and dance.

Personally, I wouldn't want to expose Begga's image to possible vandalism.

I understand your sentiments completely. At the same time, if something needs to be done about this road, only a real person will touch others enough to get active about changing things. That we all wish it wasn't Begga, goes without saying. I wonder what Begga would say.

so whats the consensus - i have access to the laminator until 11pm than will be away for the next few days.

i saw a black and white photo in the first few pages that would be suitable.

if no one replies with an outstanding "NO" or objection ill put it up on my way past late tonight

A collective group candle is a neat idea. However, I feel that an individual candle(for each member) will underline the tremendous support Begga had and still has from this great community and therefore, as I mentioned before, I'll provide a candle for everyone who wishes do have one lit. I believe it will also be comforting to the family, knowing that she was loved and cared for to this extent.
Could you light one for me too please?

I think we should first check with Begga's family and close friends if its okay with them.

I vote put it up. She was so beautiful well known and very much loved I think people would love to see her photo with all the candles it is a tribute to her.
