I received 7 “post deleted” messages from ACE1 this morning. He is now definitively yet another one added to my growing ignore list.

Also Green blobs from 6 other members (thank you), and other encouraging PMs in the sense of “ignore the trolls and please keep posting”. These were all from long-standing, respected EF members.

I think those that like to frame the term “passive aggressive” for their own means, should really be aware of the differentiation between that and neutrally formed, well thought-through and balanced comments.
Not sure mods can be added to your ignore list anymore

For the more competitive forum members: will the naughty list be visible for everyone?
No. I don't think we could do so even if we wanted to.

EF used to have this link, where you could see who had been on-line, how many thanks etc. (if you searched for it). Guess it’s still there, just not visible for the likes of of us.
You can see how many posts, thanks and groans a user has at the top of every post they make, and if you want to dig deeper you can see when a user was last online and all the thanked and groaned posts issued or received from within the View Profile options.

So my response to this post which criticises ACE's behaviour was deleted with the reason "Deleting all the silly posts here"....

Oh lordy. Ive offended Germens.
With any luck this post might make it thru the day.
I can't stop laughing.
On the other hand, with this speed of deletion EF becomes more of a chat-room. And I miss the chat-rooms of the compuserve-era.

But do beware, robBob, everybody collects points in Flensburg - they are very awoke there.

I doubt you can add Ace to that list....as a mod, unless something has changed, you can‘t ignore mods. But if I am wrong, do let me know.

How do you determine that an EF member is respected? I suspect that‘s highly subjective.
Oooops, can now confirm that this doesn’t work for mods

That's strange. As a moderator, I can see and read all reputation comments given to you. By the time of your post above, you had received positive rep from only two members. Hyperbolic much?

Good luck with that.
Should I send you a screen shot? I keep my post box completely clean, and only keep those that I haven’t yet replied to. You can read my Private messages (PMs)? This is a serious infringement of my privacy.

You don't need to send me a screenshot of your reputation. I can see it. So can everybody else (but not the comments).

I can read your PMs? Oh, that's news to me. Not sure I'd want to, though.

You know the rules: you first have to publish your Flounce Manifesto. Posthumous ones are allowed only in special instances where the flouncer will genuinely be missed.

You cannot see how many and when these groans and thanks were made, as in your post, which contradicts this. For that, you need to have access to the EF users personal account.

Actually, you can, I just checked on your profile!

Just click on the user, go to "statistics", click on "Find all thanked posts by user" or "Find all groaned at posts by user"

Private messages and Reputation Comments are 2 Different Things. Mods can read the comments that people add when they give you rep (red and green blobs). I have no idea why this is the case. Reputation comments are not the same as Private Messages which mods cannot read. Only you can read your private messages.

If you‘re going to be outraged, please get the source of your outrage straight.

I believe that if you want your account deleted, you still have to message Editor Bob.

Oh yes, I see now that the post about the Corona vaccination that is now available in zurich, published a few minutes ago, is one of the thanks: 553 and
Views: 28,899. I would need to delve deeply to determine when my past posts were made, even the very recent ones. Nope, that would be impossible if someone didn’t have a direct insight into my account.

Re: Infractions and Warnings.

Been using it for ages ...ahem ... elsewhere. You can set levels. So 3 infraction points = 1 day ban. You can set an expiry on it as well. If you set it to never, and give someone 3 points, they'll be banned for a day. But the next infraction - they'll be banned for the next level up, e.g. 3 days.

In my experience, it doesn't really work. Especially on people who've been members for a while.
