I've just a quick play with it. It seems OK, but I can't really see myself using it in preference to safari - Both seem about the same speed over the same connection.

It seems to have all of the basic features there, inc PMs, but you can't see thanks, groans or rep, or for that matter give thanks, groans or rep (unless I'm missing it), but I see that as outside the remit of this app.

Major bummer for me is no landscape mode on the iPhone. That means it's going to be a pain for me to post.

I'll give it an extended play later on today, Maybe with a better signal it'll show it's true colours.

Nevertheless if you think it'll be useful for you, it seems well worth the 3.30 it costs.
Yeah this is ONLY useful if you have no dedicated data allowance, or have a bad non-3G signal. Otherwise I can't see any reason to use it over Xscope on Android, and I certainly wouldn't buy it.

I haven't installed it yet but I'm sure I read that you can also upload photos from your phone. Is that right, and if so can someone try that?

Re: Tapatalk - EF now supports this app for mobile devices

I'd appreciate it if you could look into the prompts:

"This forum is iPhone Nativeč Click OK to learn more about Tapatalk for iPhone." - OK / Abbruch

Only thing is: this appears every time a new page is loaded and nothing at all happens if I click on "OK" or "Abbruch". Which now makes surfing EF using Opera mini browser practically impossible....

Thank you.

The Youtube videos embedded in the posts don't work. A little annoying.

My guess would be that's Opera not handling dialogue boxes properly rather than any problem with the EF plugin.

You could test it by loading the same page in Safari. If it doesn't happen there, the issue's most likely with Opera

Tested. Safari asks just once and reacts to "cancel" (Abbruch). So, it's an Opera issue then. Shame, as I prefer Opera on the iPhone.

I have to say I quite like it. I find it easier to read the forum threads on a small smartphone screen in tapatalk rather than in a browser window. entering text is also much easier through tapatalk

Hmm I find mine easier to read, and functionality is 10x better. Tapatalk is an emergency app, nothing else imo.

Hi!
I know that I am not the only happy EF user using tapatalk... Could you guys update the plug-in, so the "subscribed threads" and other features work? That would be cool....

I've brought it up to the admin before but it doesn't appear that he has gotten around to doing it. I'll "remind" him again by pointing out your post.

thanks..

Yes he said he'd put it on his "to do" list but me thinks it somehow found its way to the "opps, forgot again" list..

I'll put the bug (deeper) in his ear the next time.

Thanks! I also enjoy using tapatalk. My problem is that certain sections (like the market place) don't load and i can only get in if a post shows up in the recent posts list. Does anyone else have this problem?

Working fine over here, just tried it on my iPhone and iPad. Are you going there via "Forum" shortcut at the bottom?

You can click on the "More" icon at the bottom far right, and from there choose the first option, "Favorites". That will take you to your subscribed threads.

I bought Tapatalk, but I find it pretty annoying. It's hard to find the threads I want.

Because the "participated" function does not work as the plug-in on the EF server is outdated... which was exactly the point of this thread.

At the bottom? Mine is on the top. I scroll down and get market place but i won't finish loading. Maybe its just a bug on my phone. I can try reinstalling maybe it will help.
