Receiving samples while working remotely
Hi Everyone,
(Sorry for the confusing title of this thread - maybe the Mods can think of something better?)
Having finally received authorisation for my husband to come and join me in CH (YEEEHAAA!), we are trying to iron out all the details about his work plan. His employer (NZ company, no international offices) is willing to keep him employed at his present job (a buyer), and he can work from home. This is fantastic!
But...
Part of his job is to evaluate product (in this case DVD movies). So every month he receives copies of the latest ones. Sometimes these are timecoded versions that have no commercial value and can most definitely not be on-sold. However, sometimes these are actual retail versions of the DVDs (albeit occassionally missing rating stickers etc).
- How can the company go about sending these to him in CH?
- Will they be incur tax like a normal delivery would, or is there a separate system for "samples"?
- Would both types of sample - the timecoded, and the retail versions - be treated in the same way?
Any advice or insight gratefully received!!
P.S. Sorry for the long and complicated story!!
