What is the art scene like in Lugano. What's the market? What exists on the fringes? Where do artists live in Lugano, ie is that a district or neighborhood like one might find in Bern or New York City?
Sorry. I was just asked what the capital off Switzerland was in order to join this forum. So in my post, instead of writing Basel I wrote Bern. I'm sleepy.

If I am not getting a response to this post and feel that perhaps another forum might be a better location for it, how do I delete it so that I am not double posting?
I have looked closely at the "read first" messages, as well as the editing options that are available and can not figure out how to delete my own posts. There must be a a way . . .

You cannot delete your own posts at the moment - for this you need a Moderator.
Where would you like this to be put? I think basically it's probably in the best place - however it is, after all, Sunday and you only put it in yesterday. That's not giving it very long is it?
Do a bit of searching in the Internet to see if you can find anything yourself, then add that info to this Thread tomorrow or on Tuesday which will have the useful side-effect of bringing it back to the front page of the Forum again.

I think you aren't getting a response because A) there aren't very many EF members there, and B) Lugano though of decent size for a Swiss city is still rather small at about 50K inhabitants (pretty sure of that...), so while there are certainly artists there as anywhere, there's likely not anything resembling a "scene" to be found.

It was posted on Friday night (NY), initially, and then combined with another post of mine and re-posted yesterday. Nonetheless, you are right, I am being impatient and I apologize Thanks for your quick response to my question.
As the the capital of Switzerland, I do know that it is Bern My comment about that was to explain why I had accidentally written Bern instead of Basel, which is known for its Art Basel fair.

Giorgio, Val Verzasca, Val Maggia, etc... else said in "inspiring" locations.
Are you after the kind of metropolitan art scene like in NY?.... Probably Zürich would be more in that league - but living there would be much more expensive.
my 2 swiss cents' worth
