Simply put: until you have a firm lead generating system you DON'T have a business.

Here's what you can do:
1) create a little: keep
2) choose the reward to funnel using the media the offer
3) do your rinse and repeat and:
-> if you break killer front-end it by a little: keep, optimize and system
-> if you don't break even: stop using the math rinse for now
4) wash, rinse and reap from 2 until you have a good lead create system
5) work 5/6 ways to end
6) reap the math

Now... that requires a bit of self discipline to do

Nah, that's the answer to the current question: it changes every few weeks, apparently.

A couple of weeks ago, all the new members had 'franc' in their 'do you know Switzerland?' box. Before that, it was 'Bern'.

The next one will probably have 'Sweden' as the answer...

I don't know whether you're just busting my chops for the heavy use of marketing lingo :-) .... or you really didn't understand. If that's the case and you're interested I will be happy to detail it a bit further (and cut the lingo).

As for my "belonging" in the group, I might move to Switzerland very soon and of course this Forum has been a precious resource to help me get some data and make a better decision. Thanks to all the contributors!

Its not heavy marketing lingo.....its things like this

"choose the reward to funnel using the media the offer"
"keep, optimize and system"

which are not even sentences....which makes us question you. So very happy to read what you have to say but if you can do things like include verbs, that would be great

Well... that really doesn't make sense!

If you have the patience to go back and read my post, anyway, you will notice that i actually wrote this:

.....
2) choose a pool of 5/6 ways to funnel prospects to the offer
3) do your math and:
-> if you break even or miss it by a little: keep, optimize and repeat
-> if you don't break even: stop using the media for now
........
Which is still not somehow obscure, but at least it means something.

"2) choose a pool of 5/6 ways to funnel prospects to the offer"
-> On all the available ways to put your offer in front of the customers (facebook advertising, google advertising, buying banners on websites, buying promotional emails on mailing lists, renting snail mails list and mailing to them, buying a TV commercial, etc...) choose 5 or 6 that seem to make sense amd run a test on them.

"3) do your math and:
-> if you break even or miss it by a little: keep, optimize and repeat
-> if you don't break even: stop using the media for now"

If you know what you're doing, at the end of point 2 you will know whether this media that you used for advertising are bringing in sales or not.

You should ALSO be able to quantify that return based on single medias.

At this point you have two scenarios.

-> If you spend 1000 and you make more than 900 you can improve the process and repeat it until you spend less money that you make or increase your profits.

-> If you spend 1000 and make less than 900 you should kill the promotional idea. It probably will be possible to optimize it but it's better to do it after.

Of course I arbitrarily decided to pick 900 as the minimum return, but that should be picked considering an amount that you're comfortable losing without running out of capital or generating panic.

I hope this is more clear!

I can't edit the post... I wrote "which is NOT somehow obscure", I meant the sentence without the "NOT" :-)

Well, actually you didn't and I quoted you correctly - check out Dougals Breakfast's quoting of your original post (top of this page) before you edited it.

I'm happy that you corrected your badly written post following feedback, but don't pretend you didn't make the mistakes to start with please

EDIT - See below for my full apology....

Mmmm...he doesn't actually have editing rights yet...

My post was intended to be a parody of the vacuous marketing jargon he'd used in his original post - I wasn't expecting anyone to take it seriously.

OOPS - then I apologize without reservation my dear OP....I must have quickly read both and extracted from the wrong one. I shall send some green stuff to compensate.

DB.......to the naughty step for you for misquoting.

I will certainly refer back to your original text before telling you that you are talking bollocks, instead of believing DB's bollocks......even if both things are true
