Lex Koller and B permit (EU)

1) Is it possible for a B permit holder (EU), to purchase a small apartment block, for the purpose of renting out, (and not living in the block themselves)?
It clearly seems to apply in this case, unless the EU passport changes things.

2) Does the EU passport give the same rights to buy as a C permit?
3) Is the B permit needed at all?

Any reply experience appreciated.

You reference here Lex Koller or better said the Federal Law on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Persons Abroad. This defines individuals abroad as being either foreigners domiciled abroad or indeed foreigners that are domiciled in Switzerland BUT are not nationals of an EU/EFTA member state or C permit holders.

Given that you are an EU passport holder the law does not apply to you so the answers to your questions are:

1. Yes.
2. More or less yes.
3. For what? House Purchase no to live here yes.
