Hello everyone,
I'm a contractor currently working for a company in canton Vaud.
The company I work for deals with a Swiss payroll company who takes a percentage of my daily rate for their services.
I am considering setting up my own company (SARL?) in order to deal directly with the company I work for at the moment or other organizations in the future.
As my position/contract could be terminated at any point in the future I would like to know if I would be entitled to chomage (unemployment benefit) in case I lose my job?
I have heard that it might be difficult or not possible at all to get chomage as someone who has a registered business in Switzerland but I would like to know more about this and maybe one of the forum members has exprienced the scenario I'm describing and can provide me with some advice.
There are a lot of other stuff I still don't know about setting up a business but I decided to start with this question as I would like to have this (chomage) safety net in the case things don't go as planned.
I searched the forum for a thread that describes the question above but couldn't find something that answers the exact question raised above.
If it is there, then I appologise and maybe you can direct me to the thread
Thanks in advance for your help!
