Re: Opening company in Vaud (Lausanne)

Some questions remain:
Do you have already a Swiss Company?
if not, from where abroad are you intend to open a branch?
Are you EU citizen? Schengen?

I am paying www.startups.ch to help me do the same in Lausanne. I must say, the process (not their process) is utterly monstrous

Yes, I have already the company registered in Cyprus but not in Switzerland. So I am looking to opening a branch here in Lausanne (or maybe another canton if that makes sense). Yes I am EU citizen, B Permit, and Cyprus is in the Schengen treaty.

Depending on the type of business - i.e. if you only need a small office/virtual office for taxation purposes - it's easier to open and operate a SARL from Luxembourg.

Dear Antanast

Your question is exactly the business area in which I am active. I would be happy to help you in your proceedings.
Please send me an MP and I will be pleased to have a first meeting.

Dear Marie,

I am also looking to launch a SARL in Nyon, Switzerland. I have B Permit and would like to run my office from home. Would you be interested to help me out with the process?

Looking forward to your news,
Mina

We didn't find it particularly complicated, by swiss standards, it's mostly horrendously expensive... with notaire fees etc... we were recently charged 1,600 CHF just to change the address of the company in our statutes! He was based in Lausanne, so beware!

Oh wow that sounds ridiculously overpriced! I work in this business as well, and work with a notary that does very decent prices (address change CHF 500). So PM me if you need someone :-)

The Chf 1600.-- probably included taxes and fees for the Registe du Commerce.....

Well I paid around CHF 500 all inclusive - CHF 1600 for a simple moving of domicile is overpriced IMHO.

I couldn't agree more, but as the notarties are all in a jolly little association the price they charge are all very similar.

I would think there was a bit more as an address change in Vaud costs around Chf 800-900 normally

Re: Opening company in Vaud (Lausanne)

You are right, their tariffs for notarizing anything are already set by the association rules. But as I have come to realize they often don't just bill the actual notary work - for example additionally they will bill "research" (which should not happen for something as standard as an address change) etc.

I have no idea about the prices in Vaud, the rules are different then in Bern I suppose, as well as the tariffs as these are regulated by cantonal law.
