death and taxes

Ok dokey, letīs see if we have any tax geeks here on the forum.
For the last year Slammer has worked as a self employed person, based in Basel and working as a contractor in Germany. I know, as bass-ackward as it gets. In my invoices to the German company I must state that according to the value added tax laws § 13b the German company must pay the 19% tax. They do however get it refunded as I am not in the EU and as the tax has been paid the CHain taxman is not interested in me.
Sooooo! The company was sold to a company in Belgium at the beginning of 2012 and I was invited to work for this company under the same conditions, as Belgium like Germany is in the EU.
However much to my surprise this deal has now fallen through, no big issue though, I have another company interested working with me but they are in the UK,
The UK being the bunch of EU-bolchies that they are may screw this nice little arrangement up. My question, obviously, can this work?

Re: death and taxes

Sorry, no info on the tax stuff.

But I can confirm: you are going to die, Slammer.

Re: death and taxes

As you have realised, Switzerland is not in the EU, and no VAT is applicable. It should not be shown on your invoices...
