My first post.

I was looking into setting up a SARL; a trading company executing derivatives from Switzerland on outside of Switzerland exchanges. I am aware of the requirements of setting up a SARL.

My question relates to corporate tax. I read somewhere that if one generates >50% of its revenue abroad than a different corporate rate applies.

Does anyone know what 'generating revenue abroad' entails?

I saw a message recently stating that the corporate tax in Vaud will be reduced to 13% by 2020. If anyone knows, will it be a fased event? Will it kick in earlier?

Anyone with a view/knowledge?

Me again...

All my questions are posted separate though there is a common; corporate tax. Obviously I will seek expert advise, but my questions are part of some research for when I meet these exports.

I read about corporate tax exemptions. Are the solely for the large companies like Nestle, Proctor, etc? Or can small(er) entities profit for them as well? Is it case by case basis?

Re: Corporate tax vaud

The reduction of the Corporate tax in Vaud is part of a Federal bill reengineering the Swiss Corporate Tax System. I have seen 2019 as the earliest that would come to force and did not hear about transitory steps in between.

According the the Vaux Canton website, any size corporation is allowed to ask for a tax reduction or exemption. The criterias is how much yo will benefit the economic development in the Canton, employment...etc..

To make the demand, you need to provide a formal request letter as well as a comprehensive business plan supporting your demand.

Hope it helps.
