Being a reseller - warranty repairs?
I am considering to start a business as a reseller / commercial representative of an EU-based manufacturer.
The product is some kind of electronic / technical device which obviously can go down from time to time... Since I don't have sufficient technical expertise, in such case the product will need to be returned for repairs and here comes my question - how from customs perspective does it work?
Basically we have 2 main scenarios:
the product (custom-cleared during import) is returned to EU for repairs, repaired and send back to Switzerland
the product is returned to EU for repairs, replaced (cost of repair too high or time needed too long) and send back to Switzerland
I read a bit about inward/outward processing, but I am not really clear how it works...
