Open a small online business

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum.

I am looking to open up an online store selling items on Ricardo and possibly Amazon.de. I will be buying all products from China.

My questions are: Do I have to register a business or sole trader?
I am also confused with the VAT and MwSt- Would I need to register any of that? How does it work with the Zoll?

Is it possible to sell items on Amazon.de? I live in Switzerland and have a B permit with the allowance to work. My husband is a Swiss citizen.

My idea is above, I just need to know how I can do it legally.

Thank you in advance.
