Self employed builder

Hi I am a c permit holder and would like to start working for my self doing small jobs,and would like to know the easyist way,if it is possible to be a micro entreprise like in France or similar if it exists in CH,? I have a city and guilds in bricklaying.would I need Swiss certs for this,any help

1. Generally, a C permit holder can found his own business as a sole trader. When your annual sales reach CHF 100'000, you will need to register the business with the commercial register and also for VAT. See this website for more information (in English):

2. A quick internet search shows that there are training and certificate courses for bricklayers (Maurer):

http://www.bauberufe.ch/verkehrswegbauer/maurer/

3. You might wish to clarify with the Schweizerischen Baumeisterverband whether a bricklayer's permit is required to set up your own company:
