Re: sea port importation question

First of all: the country is called Switzerland.

Secondly: Destination port for the shipment can be any port. Do you have an idea what vessel it will be shipped on? If not you can choose from any of the ports in Europe and have it transported by train/truck to your final destination.

Be prepared for a lot of Customs work.

And you could ask the selling agent to take care of the shipment to the final Destination. Advisable when you have no clue about international Transportation

And PS: no idea why "we" should have an advantage in some ports?

Re: sea port importation question

Port of Switzerland in Basel.

@Marton: What you are looking for is Embraport in Embrach.

Outside: Major ports with convenient access to Switzerland from China are Marseille-Fos Port, and Port of Genoa in the South and Port of Rotterdam, and Port of Hamburg in the North.

thanks roegner for your answer, the advantages are in some countries which don't have exit to the sea, some countries give privileges to attract all the importations to some ports.

thanks Swiss in the US, but other question, what is cheaper, send outside of Swiss and then train, or send to the europort (or europort is just the name and is train "port"?)

About "europort is just the name and is train "port"?" Sorry as was mentioned I got the name wrong; it is Embraport.

This is a Duty free area that you can send containers to; I assume by train or truck.

Re: sea port importation question

Always thought Europoort is at Rotterdam?

Anyway, OP, do get some advice before you ask for the goods to be shipped. There are so many different ways it can be done and especially the payment methods related to that and the documents required
