Einzelfirma - Take out 2.Pension

I have my own company and wish to invest my 2 Sauele in property. Can I take this money out and use it for property to rent out, or only for a building that I will live in myself?

Thank you for feedback.

Re: Einzelfirma - Take out 2.Pension

A withdrawal from a pillar 2 account is allowed for purchase of residence, or for payment against a mortgage, so long as the pillar 2 account holder lives in it. See this Beobachter article for more details:

Another approach is to borrow against the pillar 2 funds. The same rule applies, however, regarding the need to live in the dwelling.

Many thanks. I read on the AXA Winterthur website that you are also entitled to take out the 2. Sauele within one year after starting your own company. I would like to know more about this option, and if it is still possible after one year.

After leaving employment to start an Einzelfirma or Kollektivgesellschaft, it is possible to withdraw Pillar II (or Pillar III) pension funds to finance the new business for up to one year after it is in business. Startups.ch explains it this way:

"Die Auszahlung des Pensionskassengeldes muss innerhalb von 12 Monaten nach Aufnahme der selbständigen Tätigkeit geschehen. Danach ist der Vorbezug nicht mehr möglich."
