Some doubts and questions

Hi there!

My name is Sandra and I just registered to the forum. I'm a girl from Barcelona currently living in Denmark. My husband moved to Switzerland and I'm going to follow him in a few months.

He is living in Basel and we don't know if we want to live there or maybe in France, because we have 3 dogs and we would like to have a house. So I have a lot of questions, because I would like to start my own business there. I'm an artist and I would like to sell the things I made and teach in both countries. So, my questions are:

- Can I live in France and work in Switzerland?
- And the opposite?
- And live in one of them and work in both?
- Do you know where I can find information about that?

I'm feeling completely lost, so sorry if I'm making obvious questions for you, but I don't know how and where I can find this information.

Have a nice day!

Yes, and if you form a company in one country (where you will be resident) there is nothing to stop you selling in the other either.

Re: Some doubts and questions

Just a note of caution on this as far as teaching goes. For that you would probably need either to be resident here to teach in Switzerland or, assuming you form a French company, said company could possibly send you to teach in Switzerland for up to 90 days a year via the short registration system I think. See here for more info:

https://www.sem.admin.ch/sem/en/home...verfahren.html

and of course check with the relevant Swiss cantonal migration office to make sure. A French residence permit will not allow you to teach here without having a company, only in France.
