Re: Are you using Twint?

Twint is Great for Hofladen with Honor system. Just bought a fantastic Zopf this weekend while on a hike in the mountains.

I went with Stripe Credit Card (clients have Apple Pay option too) + PayPal for now. 80% of the clients are paying using Stripe CC, 20% PayPal. No one asked for Twint so far. If money keeps coming in then I will add Twint too.

A follow-up question, the newly set up PayPal account needs to be connected with either my bank account or Credit Card (CC is linked & provided by my bank).

Am I right in thinking that it is better to link my PayPal account to my bank's Credit card rather than directly to my bank account? I mean to pull the money out of PayPal.
My Twint account is linked to my credit card so I get the miles. Ive never had a credit so not certain how that works.

Re: Are you using Twint?

Started using twint last year because it got popular with winemakers around Switzerland. I guess the lack of liquidity motivated them to let go them I'll post you the invoice system and went for the instant cash. Not bad, I linked it to the credit card.

Also started using it for online shopping. Instead of putting the credit card data on sites, only scan a code and approve on the phone.

Re: Are you using Twint?

Apart from forgetting my wallet, which doesn't happen often but has happened, the main use of Twint is

1. pay the babysitter: she has Twint too and we never have cash. also at the end of the month I can check the Twint transactions in a couple seconds for the declaration.

2. pay for purchases on Tutti: some people offer Twint as an alternative to a bank transfer, so you don't wait a full day or two for the payment to arrive.

3. pay for training sessions at a gym I sometimes go to, that doesn't accept payments any other way.

My bank has a Twint app but I don't trust it to go hunting around in my bank account, so instead I use the UBS Twint app with my Migros Cumulus Mastercard as the payment source. Has a low monthly payment limit that way but it's enough for the above.

I mainly use it for parking since I never have change, but the killer feature is being able to claw back unused minutes which is a genius idea.

I do the same and was rather proud of myself until I asked my son to do it for me and he discovered that I had not actually saved my car registration number to my account, so I was gaily paying for a non-existent example registration number. Operator error obviously 🙄.
