Does it have to be Evian?

If not, yet you are still considering to go through Switzerland, why not look at the countless numbers of home produced natural mineral waters from this country? It may (should) be cheaper when buying directly from the manufacturer, as opposed to the Evian middle-man here, and if your buyers are smart enough they will put forward the natural alpine sources of these waters when marketing them.

In other words you're attempting to get around the rules.
Not really rules, just the seller trying to protect his margins so he can fleece customers even more.

Denner (I think it was Denner) did the same with Coca Cola: Bought in Czechia or thereabouts, de-label and re-label for Swiss markets, and import. All together was significantly less expensive than buying from Coca Cola HBC Switzerland [Hellenic Bottling Company or something] directly, the official distributor supplying Switzerland.

Re: Evian water supplier

Tuesday will see Evian 6*1.5l sold at Migros for 2.85 CHF in total.. (about 47.5 Cents per 1.5l bottle)

Guess that says it all about Evian being "Premium" (not so much!) and generally about Swiss buying "mineral water" (when we have great tab water at home)

When I was looking for organ meats, that's the answer I got - most get shipped to China.
