How does taxation work for my pet business?

So, I have permit B, work full time and also I have small playing cards printing business. Let's say I make 50'000 per year, and spend 20'000 per year.

Must I register Einzelunternehmen/Gmbh? If not, can I be taxed not on my revenue (50K), but on my profit (50-20=30K)?

Of course you need to register, and why would you think you will be taxed on revenue? You will be taxed on the profit you make after all business costs and expenses.

You only need to register as self-employed (free) and complete Hilsblatt A on your tax form - where you show income less expenses and assets. You will pay tax on your net income and AHV and social deductions.

Please search EF for more. Also will you full-time employer allow this??

You don't have to register for MwsT / VAT unless your sales exceed 100,000.00

Register where?

Social security - Most likely https://www.caisseavsvaud.ch/
Tax people - Probably more a request for a tax form than a registration. The profit of a sole proprietorship is taxed as part of individual income. https://www.vd.ch/themes/etat-droit-finances/impots/.
Commercial register - Optional if revenue per year is less than 100k https://www.vd.ch/prestation-detail/...action%5D=show
VAT - Optional if revenue per year is less than 100k https://www.estv.admin.ch/estv/en/home.html
