What is the best way to promote a business

Hello, I'm Brazilian and I've lived in Zurich for two years. I'm starting my own business as Home Organizer and Personal Stylist . Does anybody have any idea what is the best way to promote this kind of business ?
Thank you in advance.

Happy customers give word of mouth recommendations. It's free advertising.

And welcome to the forum.

Maybe you can get some benefit from Swiss Association of Professional Organizers (https://www.swiss-apo.ch/).

Re: What is the best way to promote a business

I tried them all and for me Google Adwords works best.
Don't expect this to be done in 5min. It takes time and you need to constantly analyse your campaigns and see if you get calls.(ask you clients where they got your number from)
Facebook, leaflets etc, doesn't work for me as I sign maker and vehicle graphics business.

Re: What is the best way to promote a business

What does a "home organizer" and "personal stylist" actually do?

Get listed in as many free listings like local.ch, Google Maps, Apple Maps etc. as possible.

If what you do could be wrapped in "stories", you could start a blog that also describes your business (you can either find a local web host or use Wordpress.com).

The more often you update content, the higher it will be ranked in Google searches.
Even if it's only an image and some text.

Re: What is the best way to promote a business

I suppose you have a website?

Good suggestions were given already, the most valuable one word-of-mouth, maybe start by doing some for-free gigs in return of favorable reviews on your website or google review.

Make sure you are visible on-line, learn SEO. Unless you want to spend a lot of money on online-marketing agencies, spend some time to study SEO and how you can improve your on-site and off-site search engine performance.

These days everything happens on-line. Even if you get referred to, people will still Google you first. Make sure what they find online about you wins them over. Make sure your website is a call to action, as-in two clicks away from getting a free info package or intake call for example. (oh yeah, and do not use stock pictures, if you can)
