Moving to a new canton as sole trader

Hi guys,

Let me start by saying what a fantastic forum and help. Thank you to all contributors. I did some research on my question below but couldn't find a good answer.

Me & my partner are EU citizens. I will operate as Sole Trader in Canton Zurich and with that I should be given permit-B. We're considering moving to Ticino in future because it's closer to my partner's family in Italy. TBH, initially we didn't consider Ticino because we were worried about my partner finding work.

Anyway, with that. I found out on this forum that moving to different canton means just re-registering my self in new canton and my permit-b will be moved across as it's not tight to my employment (i.e. sole trader business). My understanding is that should be straight forward.

What about domicile for my sole trader business? Is it as simple as just changing my address? Same with social security, should I encounter any problems?

Thanks a lot for any help!

Changing canton is very similar to changing country for the Swiss
