Info about foodtrucks

Hi,

can someone point me where to find and read information about what do to run a foodtruck business. Do I need some special permit for places to be able to park and sell food and drinks like lakes and tourist places???

Anyone with any info about this?

Thank you.

If you even have to ask if you need a permit to sell at specific public spots you should do more research yourself before asking about additional info.

Re: Info about foodtrucks

Visit your local Gemeinde / Commune and ask about a food handling license first, they'll point you to the local office. The difficult bit will be finding somewhere where this is allowed. Again, ask the local office.

To be fair, asking the question in a "Business & Entrepreneur" section of a forum isn't exactly unreasonable.

I'm pretty sure I'd do the same as the OP, given that there seems to be a wealth of experience here.

OP has the idea of starting a food truck, I feel that doing at least a little bit of research instead of simply asking on a forum "what should I all do" is preferred.

Now we do not all have the same opinion, but aslike you, others among whom myself are free to express their own.

Re: Info about foodtrucks

Lot of cantonal regulations.
Some communal regulations.
and a few federal ones.

Here a good start for canton Bern:
https://www.vol.be.ch/vol/de/index/w...stgewerbe.html

Use of public space is regulated by each commune. Instead of public space it might be simpler to use private space, but still then some regulations and restrictions might apply.

Re: Info about foodtrucks

There's a STREET FOOD festival going around CH at the moment. Check their Web Page for where they are, an' go and ask the organiser how the start up happened.

Good luck with all

and ave' a great day y'all
