Taxable Income Calculation - Independent

Hi all,

How are taxes calculated in case of 'sole trader / independent' ? A few specific questions:
  1. Do I file separate declarations for the 'enterprise' and myself?
  2. Am I obliged to draw a regular monthly salary irrespective of profits (from capital if profits insufficient)?
  3. What professional expenses can i deduct from the profit (car, fuel, half fare SBB, airtickets, business lunch, software, etc.)?

Any other tips highly appreciated.

Thanks,
sva

In case of a sole trader you and the enterprise are the very same person. Hence only one tax declaration (plus the needed supplements ) has to be filled and also no income which can be paid as it is already your income. In addition you are fully and unlimited liable with all your assets and beyond.

Thanks, but what professional expenses can i deduct from the profit (car, fuel, half fare SBB, airtickets, business lunch, software, etc.)?

I have seen this, but it only details what is justified. Does it mean everything else in un-justified?
