Purchasing goods on the company, before company is registered

My wife waits for sole proprietorships company registration. If I am not mistaken it is possible to buy goods (i.e. software licenses) on the name of company and use the invoices for the tax Erklärung even before company is registered, correct? Or am I wrong?

Re: Purchasing goods on the company, before company is registered

As I have said numerous times:

A sole proprietorship does not have do be registered to do business legally. Doing business and making profit is all what is needed to become a sole proprietorship. All the other obligations derivate from the fact that one does business, makes profit, and has certain turnover.

Yes, it is properly quite alien and hard to grasp, as the situation in other countries is quiet different. There you cannot do any business before you have done a lot of paperwork, got a license etc.

It is indeed mindset change :-) I am not sure how accounting in that situation looks like (incomes, deductions etc).
Thank you for the information

The bookkeeping look exactly as it would look otherwise. I do not understand that question.

You can do a "Milchbüechli"-Bookeeping (Milk maid bookkeeping). More officially known as Single Entry Bookeeping. https://www.freshbooks.com/hub/accou...ry-bookkeeping were just track expenses in one column and income in another or you can do a full fledged double entry bookkeeping.

For starters the single entry is good enough. But it can be advisable to switch to double bookkeeping ASAP. Single entry bookkeeping can be done in Excel, using physical books, or a software of your choice.

I see, so the invoice or bills used to calculate costs doesn't need to be issued to the company name (since company is not officially registered)?

Since the owners name must be part of the name what’s the issue?

Not only that. The company and owner are the same legal person.

There is no company, it’s basically just a trade name, under which you do business.
