Hey All

Have any of you used this service? The advert popped up on EF and I was wondering if any of you have some reviews on this online service already?

https://taxly.ch

Thanks

Re: taxly.ch

Looks legit to me. Partnership with known insurance company. And free tax service for the unemployed due to Covid 19.

I would avoid it. There is no such thing as a free lunch, the prices are low because they are providing financial institutions with a raft of opportunities to target you.

Re: taxly.ch

It's a fairly new offer and only available for residents of the following cantons: Zurich, Aargau, Basel-Land, St. Gallen, Bern, Basel-Stadt, Luzerne. For all the other cantons we match you with our inhouse Swiss Certified Tax Experts who will do the tax return for you on a more personal basis.

I still haven't fully understood what they do, exactly.

And they are also linked to Climate change, apparently:

We will be supporting a charity focused on climate change / environmental impact. For every donation made by our customers, we will match it.

Re: taxly.ch

Looks like a big part of it is harvesting your data to pass to companies who will offer you products..

Oh this guy doesn't have 3rd pillar, sell the data to 3rd pillar companies to sell you a targeted product. This guy isn't declaring a GA, this one likes crypto, this lady likes cat charities.. etc..

Apart from that I assume it it basically takes the official cantonal tax return form and presents it to you in a more friendly format, like a Q&A and then refills it based on your answers ..

Exactly, although I have not seen the offer to market your data advertised so blatantly before. If he really did manage to raise a million in venture capital this would be why... at least he has a future in sales.
