Importing and selling Jewellery in Switzerland

Hello, Dear Community!

I have the following question to fellow entrepreneurs and/or lawyers here.

Does anyone know what are (if any) specific rules/regulations of setting up a jewellery business here in Switzerland? I have an established brand with production outside EU and given that we have recently moved to Switzerland, I would like to start importing and selling my items in the local market.
I am doing actual jewellery (i.e. silver/gold with crystals or diamonds), so not bijou.

Would be very grateful for hints, insights or contacts of professionals, who might help navigating through this!

Make sure you have a work permit that allows you to establish a business would be a good place to start.

As Jim2007 said, depends on your permit. I assume you're here on a family reunification permit so it will depend on whether your spouse/partner is EU or non-EU and what type of permit they have.

Re: Importing and selling Jewellery in Switzerland

Thank you!

We are both on B permit and my understanding is that I can work here and establish a business.
My husband is EU national (was EU at time of the move, as he is British).
I am non-EU national if it matters.
