Using Skype & Business

For long I've been looking out for some good communication service. Then last year a friend of mine suggested Skype to me. I bought credits worth 10 Euro's. And it was all that I needed.
That day since I've been using Skype.

I'm Skype user. It is like a regular phone except it uses high speed internet to make calls at a fraction of the cost other services are charging and sometimes its just for free.

Now I want to start a Business where I can sell Skype products & service. [ Ofcourse with the permission of Skype owners ]. The website gives details about its products and services.

But I'll also need other details and all the help possible. So please contribute your suggestions. And wish me good luck.

You can find more about skype from their website
http://www.skype.com

Well I wish you luck but my suggestion to you would be to ask specific questions about subjects which you've been unable to find in your own research, rather than just an open-ended request for suggestions. People are always willing to help, but not if they think they are being asked to do all the legwork for you.

Should we maybe change the title of this thread to something like "Help with starting a new business"?

Yes you can use Skype for cell phones as well. Visit their website and you can find all that you need to know there plus the prices.

I found the same. I use it just for skype to skype calls and text chat from my PC (because I hate MSN messenger and refuse to use it)

Anyway, I'm still not sure whether this is supposed to be a thread about skype or starting a business. Hopefully the original poster will be along at some point and tell us.

Re: Using Skype & Business

Hi Jena,

Are you saying that you want to start a business selling Skype accessories? I don't know how you can sell Skype services, unless they have an affiliate scheme. Either way, it's already a well-developed market as a quick google will tell...

Re: Using Skype & Business

I'd first recommend you rethink building a business around Skype as it is proprietary software. Additionally it is not *that* cheap to make skypeout calls.

Open standards (specifically SIP) are the way forward. I'd recommend Gizmo (http://www.gizmoproject.com/) as an excellent 'skype like' SIP softphone. Recently Gizmo users can chat/call Google Talk users and vice versa.
