I'm out im afraid (dammit ! ) wanted to go this evening but have to cancel with special thanks to a painfull tooth, the denist who pulled it this morning, gave me 2 stitches and drugged me up.
At this stage laughter is not something close to me..
Sorry guys, ill have to catch you another time.

Drugged up and feeling sorry for yourself? Sounds like a normal night in to me.
C'mon down to the Kuppel, have some sugar free rivella and laugh out loud. It's a sci-en-tific fact that it's the best medicine.
I'm in Baselona today so will pop by the Kuppel and sit at the front. Sean Hughes is not to be missed.

You'll soon need a bigger place than Kuppel for the shows in Basel.

Every comic that performs at Kuppel adores it as a performance space. It lends itself to comedy beautifully. The fantastic atmosphere on Thursday was a fine example of a unique symbiosis. Great comedians, a packed and enthusiastic audience and a wonderfully intimate venue. Job done in my book. I'm delighted that Basel has turned the corner, it's a brilliant crowd when it turns-up to engage in bit of old fashioned fun: it's taken a starvation treatment of once a month shows this time last year with the threat of pulling the shows altogether to get there, but hey! sometimes you just have to use a bit of tough love with an audience to kick them out of their self-induced comedy coma, y'know?
As with Zurich and Geneva club shows, there's always scope for larger theatre style shows in Basel if demand is what drives that onto the agenda, it's purely a matter of finding the right venue which I'm sure you'll understand isn't always a straightforward matter......all I can tell you is, as always, I'm working on it as best as I can. Honest!
