Re: All you can eat Indian!

I like the idea of an Indian buffet in a pub setting. It means you don't have to sit down and "eat" but rather you can nibble with your pint throughout the evening on a few smaller plates. If I'm in the country over that weekend, we'll come along.

Have I missed out the date here? When is it?

Sounds absolutely wonderful, would prefer a British curry to a Swiss/Indian curry, hopefully be nice and spicy. I'm up for it as I used to live close, these Zurichers will never leave, they travel 40 minutes on the tram sometimes but complain about leaving the city. Bloody City Mice!!!

Sounds great because it sounds kind of home-made:I imagine (and maybe because I am hungry) that this isn't the greasy, indigestible sludge that makes most curry places a disappointment.

What about doing a road-show round some of the English pubs or Irish pubs. Could be a win for them and you guys.

Being an Ex-pat owned pub, we can guarantee that this pub is run in the British way just like back in the uk, except we keep the toilets clean

Our Scottish cook will ensure that the dishes will have levels of spice to test non-swiss tastebuds. All swiss wishing to take part in the buffet will be pre-warned.

We will have many Scottish guests on this evening and I want to make sure we go through a good 200 litres of milk
With so many Scots where's the deep fried mars bars, my guests would all be Scots so if you have Irn Bru... they may just move in, come to think of it, if you have 80 shilling I might move in

We did serve up deep fried mars bars a few months ago, but even i found them sickening, they can always be made to order. We sell Irn-bru too! check out our website, all our drinks are there. 80 Shilling is pretty hard to get im afraid and not worth the hassle, scottish beer is not really the hit

Might have considered if there were more vegetarian dishes.
Hi as Tonybhoy says was a difficult choice deciding what to put on the menu, but just to say the Mushroom Bhaji has been a main course before so along with the Vegetable Balti Curry, Potato bites, rice and Naan there is a good feed to be had, and if you eat fish then the Chilli Garlic Prawns are not to be missed!

Please come along and try, thanks!

Oh, I forgot to say I will be preparing your mouthwatering buffet!

For the price I would have thought you could have another main dish on offer like a Biriani?
Hi Transition

Incase you missed the part where it says Starters, these are also actually side dishes or if you really wanted you could add them to your plate as a main course, so in effect you have a seafood dish and another vegetarian option at least. Maybe you can come and try out for yourself, would love to see you!

All you can eat Indian!

Thank you for the invitation.

That looks to be a lovely menu, and I am looking forward to the evening. I would like to say that even if there was another dish, I don't think many people could finish it!

I will be coming on the train, so I can drink, and I will have to leave at 10:25pm to be home near Berne around midnight.

Re: All you can eat Indian!

I have been to this pub in Lenzburg, and can attest to it's quality, excellent beers on tap, and authentic Scots running the place (even though they sell it as an Irish pub!). The food is great, the furnishing comfy, and just a stumble from the Lenzburg train station, little more than 30 minutes away from Zurich HB. Go for it!

Yeah, but do they rinse the dishes when they wash up?
